Custom domain

Note: Custom domain preferences are only available on scale plan types.

Overview

Custom domain support on Default enables you to verify your owned inboxes to facilitate the sending of Default notifications and reminders. Once enabled, and verified, you'll be able to send from one of the following configurable options:

  • From host inbox (eg. nico@companyname.com)

  • From custom inbox (eg. founders@companyname.com)

Without any custom domains, email notifications and reminders will be sent from notifications@default.com and reminders@default.com.

FAQs

Q: How do I configure sending from custom inboxes?

A: Once you've confirmed your domain, you can go to your meeting reminders and create a new reminder. We recommend creating a reminder per meeting status per host / guest. At the reminder level, you have the option to send from the meeting host inbox or a custom inbox .

Q: Am I required to set the MX record as part of the verification?

A: Yes, setting the MX record is required as part of our underlying infrastructure to verify domain ownership and that everything is correctly set up.
